Megalith (2018)
As part of an effort to exhibit the project Peculiar Artifacts at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Thomas Nolf collaborated with artist Gauthier Oushoorn to document the K2 Megalith. Their resulting work, Megalith (2017), is a life-size drawing of the artifact, which was discovered in 2006 in the Ravne tunnel, just a few kilometers from the so-called Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. The drawing was proposed for inclusion in the museum’s collection but was ultimately rejected, as its presence was seen as a threat to the institution’s credibility.
The video Energija (2017) documents the K2 Megalith within the Ravne Tunnel in Visoko. While working in the tunnel complex, Nolf and Oushoorn were repeatedly interrupted by guided tours passing through—visitors eager to meditate and absorb the supposed energy of the stone.
